BJ Hawks, Teacher
I teach elementary school students with Autism (ASD). My students have many different kinds of self regulatory needs and I strive to meet as many of them as I can, as often as I can. As soon as I saw this feelings and emotions flipbook I knew I needed it for the desk in our calming corner! My students absolutely LOVE it! When they are struggling with big emotions they do not always know how to appropriately express, they go to the calming corner so they can utilize the resources there to help themselves better self regulate. While there, my students are able to pull out this flipbook, explore the different emotions, feelings, and ideas within it, quietly breath, and take the time they need to sufficiently calm down so they can successfully rejoin their classmates. Thank you for creating this wonderful resource! For my students with Autism (ASD), and the dedicated staff that work with them, it really is life changing!

Demi, Parent
I got this for my 6 year old son to help him understand his emotions better and how to better explain how he is feeling. He comes up to me with the page showing how he feels and we go over the different ways he can manage his emotions in a healthy and safe manner. HIGHLY recommended. Its easy for him to use and understand. It makes education about big feelings fun for him. Thw book itself is of great quailty. It's the perfect size for him.

I use this book to teach some of my pediatric patients about emotions and emotional regulation. I love that it shows images of each emotion as well as things that people may do when feeling that way. The only thing I do wish it had, was pictures of real people displaying each emotion instead of the emojis, only because I feel like having real life pictures would make it easier for children on the spectrum, for example, to identify emotions in the real world.
